Basil essential oil is most commonly used to help headaches and migraines. Known as a favourite "happy oil" when inhaled, basil essential oil also has a direct uplifting effect on mood and depression.

As a cooling and healing oil, when diluted in a carrier oil or cream, it can be applied topically to effectively soothe and treat wasp, mosquito and other insect bites.

Blends well with bergamot, black pepper, cedar, geranium, grapefruit, lavender, and lemon essential oils.
